Problems with GN1000 Lifter Activating Itself Randomly

How can I fix my Jabra GN1000 lifter from randomly lifting the handset on its own?

If your lifter has suddenly or randomly lifted the handset without you activating it you'll want to change the settings within the wireless to "GN1000 - RHLmode".

In order to do this do the following steps. You'll want to do this when you are NOT taking calls.   The microphone is muted by default when making changes and if you get an incoming they will not be able to hear you speak.

For Jabra 920 wireless headsets:

  • Take headset out of the charger base
  • Put the headset on your headset
  • Hold down the "+" and "-" symbols on the headset
  • You will hear Setup
  • Then push the rough grey button on the headset until you hear "remote call control"
  • Then push the "+" symbol on your headset until you hear "GN1000 RHL mode"
  • Now hold down the "+" and "-" symbols on the headset and the battery light will turn white
  • The wireless headset will now reset within a few seconds
